Warrants will be launched in Vietnamese stock market. Brokers have already issued warrants and individual share warrants will be listed in the near future. The demand of share warrants is especiially high for the companies with full foreign ownership limits because warrants are available for all investors regardless FOL. Launching warrants is a good indication that the modernization of Vietnamese stock market is well on track. However with the current warrant premium levels it still is better to own the shares when having them for long hold. E.g. owning warrants for MWG shares is about 25 % more expensive per annum than owning the actual shares.
